There are Many Roadside Markets in India ,Today we are Talking about a busy Roadside market (Sabji mandi) operates every morning in Lucknow. Many people used to go to this market to purchase fresh vegetables for their homes, shops, or retail businesses. One morning, a woman visited this Roadside market with her 10-year-old son to buy vegetables for her home. The vegetable market is on the shoulder of the main road and near a gap in the median, resulting in high, dense traffic vehicle movement. While the woman focused on selecting good-quality vegetables, she got distracted by the busy traffic around her.
After buying the vegetables, she attempted to cross the road without checking for present and oncoming vehicles. At that moment, a biker was coming speedily on the road and collided with the woman and her son, resulting in severe head injuries and significant bleeding for both.
Someone called the police and ambulance services at No. 112, and the ambulance took some time to reach the location. When it finally arrived, paramedics rushed both the mother and son to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors could not save the woman due to excessive bleeding, but her son survived despite his moderate injuries.
This tragic accident is a common example in India, where roadside markets continue to operate without adequate safety measures. People still visit these markets daily to buy and sell vegetables, but there are significant safety risks.
However, the family feels the greatest loss, especially the son and husband who lost their mother and wife.A woman who simply went to the market never returned home. As shops and sabzi mandis in such roadside markets are essential for daily life, they often contribute to traffic congestion, safety hazards, and risk on Indian roads.
